| What is Epilepsytalk? | ||||
| Epilepsytalk is a free Listserv available globally that is centered on pediatric epilepsy. This discussion group is for the benefit of families who wish to share comments, concerns and questions regarding their experiences with children afflicted with epilepsy and/or other related issues. | ||||
| What is a LISTSERV? | ||||
| A list serve is an email function
that is an easy way for a group of people to
share information, post concerns or give support. It is typically organized around a narrow
subject matter that all subscribers are interested in. Any subscriber can post a message, which
is automatically forwarded to all subscribers.
We hope that format will enable families to support one another and to share valuable information on doctors, medications and treatments. The information, experiences and successes gained on each family's journey will hopefully help your child as you help others. | ||||

| "It was so nice to meet such a nice
group of parents who understand and have been there." "Hearing stories and sharing thoughts, ideas with the many families in this group has helped me tremendously. I even have made a very good friend who I talk with daily." "I just wanted to thank everyone who has taken time to respond to all of my questions this past year. It is such a reassuring feeling knowing you are all out there to help me through our journey with Epilepsy." "I think of the many families on this list frequently. There is comfort knowing there are others that go through similar challenges." "It's nice to know we are not alone. I have gained so much by reading the emails posted in this group. It's strengthening to know others are getting through this and adapting." "This is where I always throw out something new I hear about or read." "Thank you for your stories, they and yourselves and my family have given me the strength to take one day at a time. Just knowing I am not alone helps me tremendously." "Thanks to everyone who contributes to this list for helping me so much in the past six months. My period of listening here has been so instructive and I've felt very supported, even though none of you knew I was here. It has helped me put my own situation in perspective when I was wrestling with some very tough decisions, and the kindness and love that everyone shows for each other here have made me feel a lot stronger. My prayers to you all in your own difficult decisions." | | | Parents Against Childhood Epilepsy, Inc. (PACE) is providing this
